Ben Wisdom just finished the best, most productive work week in over a year. Of course, having Monday off was nice, but even without that I actually enjoyed going into work every day this week!

Ben Wisdom figured out a few months ago that foregoing milk stopped the regular stomach cramps. Just this last week, I figured out that leaving corn out of my diet significantly improves my respiratory function and my overall mood. These experiences have me gleefully anticipating what else I may have to stop eating.

Ben Wisdom is succumbing again to his old lego addiction. I won an eBay auction a week ago Saturday (despite a last minute "swooping" attempt) of ~10 pounds of used "Bionicle" technic legos. They arrived two days ago, and I immediately set about sorting all the pieces into little bins and boxes. The building has also already begun.

Ben Wisdom had a rough night. Both kids are sick. But Rachel talked with Jack in the middle of the night, and he told her a nice summary of the Christmas story that was mostly correct, except for at the end: "...and baby Jesus was visited by the shepherds, the kings... & the snowmen." Happy new year, Friends. A Sabbath year is... over. May the new year be one of Jubilee for us all!

Ben Wisdom and Rachel washed dried and folded nine loads of laundry, made three beds, and mopped the kitchen floor. Okay, Rachel did more of that than Ben, but Ben also watched the kids, and kept them entertained and out of Rachel's way. The reward for getting all that done was to go out for pizza for dinner!

Ben Wisdom has had a long, weird, and mildly unpleasant week. I'm glad it is Christmas tomorrow. I am also looking forward to next week, which never seems to be of either this year or next year, but is most pleasantly "in between". Merry Christmas, Friends.

Ben Wisdom -- My iPhone fell onto the ground when I got out of the car at home this evening, and I didn't notice until after dinner. It was raining outside. A lot. It works okay, except an error message pops up every few seconds that tells me that some water got in the headphone jack and caused some kind of short circuit. I t...hink I can take it somewhere to be fixed tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I'm not a little bummed. :(
